Where can I buy Hansa gift cards?
The gift card vending machine is located next to the info desk on the 2nd floor. There are also gift card holders at the vending machine on which you can write your own greetings to the gift card recipient.
How can I buy a gift card?
You can buy a gift card with a debit or credit card (DinersClub and American Express cards as well as cash are not accepted). NETS manages the payment transactions. Hansa shopping centre is not responsible for the services provided by other operators. You will receive the gift card immediately to take with you, topped up with the sum of your choice and ready for use. You can buy 10 gift cards at the same time, and the available gift card values can be between 5 and 500 euros. The vending machine gives a receipt for the gift card purchase.
How do I know how much balance I have on my gift card?
The balance and validity of the gift card can be checked at the gift card vending machine, via the link above or by using the QR code on the gift card. The customer must know and/or check the balance of the gift card themselves, it cannot be seen in the cash register systems in the shops. If there is money left on the gift card after a purchase, it is not returned in cash, but the gift card can be used for another purchase.
How long is the gift card valid for?
The gift card is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. (NOTE! This refers to the date of purchase of the gift card from the vending machine, not the first use date).
How do I use a Hansa gift card?
The gift card works like any other payment card. The gift card has a magnetic stripe. The gift card can be used in almost all shops and restaurants in Hansa shopping centre. The full sum of the gift card can be used at once or in several different shops. The gift card cannot be used as a payment method in banks or currency exchange points. Individual shops may have their own restrictions on the use of gift cards, please always check these with the shops.
Changing and/or returning a purchase paid with a gift card
Each shop applies its own rules and policies regarding the returns of gift card purchases.
Where is the Hansa gift card accepted?
The gift card can be used in almost all shops and restaurants in Hansa shopping centre. The gift card is NOT accepted in the following shops: Forex, Forenom, Ålandsbanken, Alko, Star Image.
NOTE! The list is continuously updated and shops can be added to/removed from the list, depending on the current situation. Hansa shopping centre is not liable for any independent decisions made by individual shops not to participate in the Hansa gift card system.
What if my gift card does not work at the checkout?
The gift card can only be used to pay for a sum equalling or less than the balance on the gift card. The most common reason why a gift card does not work is that the purchase amount exceeds the balance of the card. Check the balance of the gift card easily at www.getmybalance.com If the total amount of the purchase exceeds the balance on the gift card, the excess amount must be paid via another payment method. If the card does not work even though there is sufficient balance on the gift card, please contact the Hansa info desk.
What if I lose my gift card?
Lost, stolen or expired gift cards will not be refunded. The gift card cannot be exchanged for cash. Any unused balance on the gift card will not be refunded after the validity period has expired.
